Colleen Macomber, founder of Creative Arts Momentum (CAM), trained with the National Dance Institute in New York City in 2009. Now a master teacher, Colleen established CAM in 2016 inspired by these teaching techniques. Classes are taught in both English and Spanish; and a wide variety of music, humor, inspiration, and joy can be expected. She continues to work with various ANDI (Associates of National Dance Institute) programs around the US including: National Dance Institute in New Mexico, California Dance Institute in Los Angeles, TRICA in Boise, Idaho, and Celebrate the Beat in Colorado.

Being raised in Southern Louisiana has created a solid foundation for dance because of the area’s rich culture and music. She was technically trained in the areas of jazz and tap and started competing at a national level at the age 14. In college, Colleen danced professionally on different dance teams; this is why there will always be a cheerleader in her. She has worked with artists for the past twenty years in areas such as public relations, designing, scheduling, advertising, and all around management. She has directed over 100 performances accompanied by live musicians with the number of student and adult performers ranging from 25-350. Colleen leads with passion and excitement and will empower children through the influence of art, music, and dance for many years to come.

I feel like the art of memorizing is slowly getting lost in this age of technology. Having to memorize dance steps and music tempos is a great way to use our brains in this manner.
